We are currently undertaking a building project in Chiswick which is a Loft Conversion and Full House Renovation project, which we started in January 2016.
We worked with the client from the start with the design of the loft space and internal modifications, Bespoke interior carpentry in most rooms, new bespoke kitchen and two bathroom suites.
I was out with the client and interior designer yesterday shopping for a new wooden floor to go throughout the property. The client has gone for a brushed white oiled Oak floor, chosen from a great shop on the Chiswick High Road, called The Stone & Wood Gallery. The owner knows his product very well, a must go if you want a new wooden floor. We then went to Fulham to a Bathroom store to select bathroom suites for the master and family bathroom. Watch this space to see what the client has gone for, a Victorian twist.
Back to the project and it is very early days as you will see from this picture, we have just stripped the main roof and removed the floor joists. We will be lowering the first floor ceiling to maximise the loft head height for the client. We find you have to do this as in these old terraced properties in some of the streets in Chiswick, you just don’t have enough height in the lofts.
Tomorrow we have a big delivery, steels will be going in place and the lowered floor will be going in as well. We are also moving some internal walls on the ground floor to maximise the space.
Keep your eye out for the progress of this Loft Conversion and the other building projects we are currently doing in Chiswick and Kew.
